Mulani had Patidar caught off a no-ball on 52, and the latter has ensured that that life gained – and centuries from Shubham and Dubey earlier in the day – didn’t go to waste by patiently seeing off the final hour or so. Jaffer had dropped Shubham on 55, as the batter went on to post 116. This seems likely a battle for first-innings lead, but who knows, there may be life in this game just yet? Join us for the fourth day’s play tomorrow, but until then, it is goodbye from Sreshth, Sudeep and me, Himanshu!
VipulG: “Flew in from Dubai to Bhopal for a family commitment. Learnt about MP playing in Ranji final from local newspaper. Now seeing the match live ball by ball. Very different and much more fun compared to the weekend I had planned 🙂 “
TomAbhi: “A little patience will go a long way in landing the trophy now. MP have been the epitome of perfection in this game.”
5pm MP tone down in the third session, perhaps focussing on getting a first-innings lead over pressing for an outright win just yet. Mumbai are six ahead, but it is a matter of a ball or two before MP take a massive step towards lifting their maiden Ranji title.
