Visakhapatnam: Indian Institute of Management-Visakhapatnam launched a customised leadership development programme for officers from the Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. Speaking on this occasion, IIM Vizag Director Prof M. Chandrasekhar emphasised the value of learning and the application of the knowledge gained from the training programme to the workplace. He also discussed the need of acquiring management skills and the need to continue learning throughout one’s career, as learning increases the growth curve for every employee.
Programme director, Prof MV Anuradha, gave an overview of the programme and underlined the importance of mastering all aspects of management.
Faculty members at IIMV will take various sessions during the five-day programme which will cover engaging topics such as strategic planning, leadership perspectives for public sector organisations, corporate finance for leadership roles, effective time and stress management, and the art of persuasive communication.
Program co-director Prof Balaji Subramanian also spoke on this occasion. The LDP is being attended by 20 Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd officers.
