Bulls' Zach LaVine to undergo knee surgery

Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine will have surgery on his knee in the coming weeks, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported on Thursday.

According to Charania, LaVine will have a scope procedure done to address a left knee issue that first plagued him back in January. The former first-round pick from the 2014 draft played through the injury in an effort to help Chicago make their first playoff appearance since 2017.

LaVine is expected to make a full recovery, which is great news for the Bulls — and for other teams interested in the 27-year-old playmaker. He becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer, and there is a strong belief he will be poached from the Bulls once the market opens.
