Hyundai Motor India plans to update its existing popular models including the Creta, Verna (new-gen), Grand i10 Nios and Kona EV. While the updated Hyundai Kona EV is reported to launch this year, the new-gen Verna, Creta and Grand i10 Nios facelifts will arrive sometime next year. Recently, the new 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios was caught on camera during its test rounds. The spotted test mule was semi-camouflaged revealing a few design changes.
As you can seen in the spy pictures, the front and rear sections of the model are partial covered suggest noticeable changes to its front grille, headlamps, LED DLRs, taillamps and rear bumper. While the side profile looks exactly similar to the existing model, it has a set of newly-designed alloy wheels. Minimal changes are expected to be made inside the cabin. The new 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios facelift is likely to come with a new interior theme and upholstery along with a pack of new features.
No changes are expected under the hood. The new 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios facelift is expected to be offered with the existing 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0L turbo petrol engines. While the former is good for 83bhp and 114Nm, the latter makes 100bhp with 172Nm. Similar to the existing version, the new one can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT (only with the 1.2L NA petrol engine) gearbox. The hatchback will also be available with the 1.2L petrol and factory-fitted CNG kit setup. Its CNG version delivers a claimed power of 69bhp and 95Nm of torque. The Nios CNG variants will be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox only.
As of now, there is no official word on its launch timeline and details. Though, the updated Grand i10 Nios is likely to hit roads sometime next year. It will take on the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift that’s slated to arrive in 2023.
